The Appleton City Public Library is now open until 7:00 p.m. on Thursdays to allow patrons to check out books later. They understand that some business hours are the same as theirs, which limits some patrons to come in, so they will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. They hope this helps everyone that has been missing out on the chance to come in and check them out!
Funds are needed for the “Backpack Program”. The backpacks have kid friendly food that goes home with 35 needy school kids weekly. Trinity United Methodist Church in Appleton City houses this project, which is funded by community donations. At this time, with the increase in cost of groceries, they are reaching out for your help. Donations are accepted at the church, 214 E. 3rd St. ACMO 64724.
