The Board of Trustees of the Village of Brownington met on April 8, 2022, at the Brownington Community Building for the scheduled regular meeting at 7:00 p.m. Trustees present were Chairman Steve Schraml, Trustee Ian Burton, Trustee Joe Bradley, Trustee Jody Eversole, and Joyce Tullis, Clerk. Visitors present were Mike Tullis, Robert Anderson, and Mike Liles.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Steve Schraml. Chairman Schraml requested the minutes from the last meeting be read. Motion to approve the minutes was made by Trustee Ian Burton second by Trustee Joe Bradley with all board members voting in favor 4-0. Chairman Schraml then requested the financial report be read. Motion ·to approve the financial report was made by Trustee Sylvania "Jody" Eversole second by Trustee Joe Bradley with all board members voting in favor 4-0. The bills were presented to the board for approval of payment. Motion to pay all due bills was made by Trustee Ian Brton second by Trustee Sylvania "Jody" Eversole, with all board members voting in favor 4-0.
NEW BUSINESS: The General Municipal Election was held on April 5, 2022. No Election was required for our district since an equal number of candidates filed for the three open Board of Trustee positions. First order of New Business was the Clerk swearing in Ian Burton, Joe Bradley, and Sylvania "Jody" Eversole as Village of Brownington Board of Trustee's, two year terms each.
Chairman Schraml brought discussion before the Board that all A TV Permits were due April 1, 2022. Reminder cards were mailed out to ATV owners and operators in the Village , Plus a notice was posted in the Information Box on the front of the Community Building.
Chairman Schraml and the Board discussed the American Rescue Plan Act Compliance and Reporting for the funding will be due April 30, 2022, as well as Registration for Village of Brownington with SAM.gov completed. The Clerk has spent several hours working diligently trying to get the information ready.
OLD BUSINESS: Chairman Schraml reported his current findings on the status of the Ordinance Violations. The Board discussed that very little clean-up of any of the properties has been accomplished so far. Chairman Schraml is going to see if he can get an address for one of the property owners that the certified letter was returned. He may deliver the letter in person. Chairman Schraml brought discussion before the Board regarding the water problem surrounding the Community Building.
The Board discussed the floors are getting worse and the need to get bids for repair work to the Community Building.
Chairman Schraml has checked on the cost of material for Gutters for the Building.
Chairman Schraml and the Board discussed the condition of the Village Streets and need for more gravel and possible need of grading. Since the Village does not have any equipment, the cost of road grading will have to be figured in the Road Fund expenses as well.
Chairman Schraml brought discussion before the Board regarding brush trimming along some of the Village Streets that have gotten out of hand the past year with all the rains. The Clerk did call and talk with Henry County Road and Bridge Department Supervisor, Dennis, and related the information to the Board of Trustee's that was given to her regarding cost per hour of side arm mowing. The Board discussed 225 Road that borders the East of the Village, and whether that would be partly County responsibility, since it borders properties owned by County Residents.

ADJOURNMENT: Motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Trustee Sylvania "Jody" Eversole, second by Trustee Joe Bradley, with all Board members voting in favor 4-0. Chairman Schraml adjourned the meeting at 8:00 p.m.
