Chapter IU of the P.E.O. Sisterhood held its regular business meeting on October 12th at 7:00 p.m. in the Rotary Building with Susie Wetzel and Lisa Wallace serving as co-hostesses. Seventeen members answered the roll call. Following the meeting, Judy McVeigh gave an interesting program on the Star Scholarship, including a Star Scholarship related Word Search. The winners received candy bars as their prize - everyone was a winner! P.E.O.’s Star Scholarship provides scholarships for exceptional high school senior women to attend an accredited, postsecondary, educational institution in the United States or Canada in the next academic year. Earlier in the day, eight Chapter IU members attended a Tea at the Presbyterian Church hosted by Chapter EN, for the report of the International Convention held in September.
The next meeting of Chapter IU is Thursday, November 9th at 7:00 p.m. in the Rotary Building with Brenda Ford and Judy McVeigh serving as co-hostesses.
