Willard George “Ski” Brzuchalski, age 85, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Monday, October 9, 2023 at his home east of Clinton surrounded by his family.
He was born November 5, 1937 in Montrose, MO; the son of Joseph Wilbert Brzuchalski and Monica Marie Hake-Brzuchalski. On July 5, 1958 in Clinton he married Rhoda Irene (Siercks) Brzuchalski who preceded him in death on August 24, 2017.
Willard started his lifelong working career in the military where he retired from as Sergeant 1st class. He then started his career in law enforcement at Clinton Police Department then on to Lake City Army Ammunition Plant where he retired from security. He then finished his career working at the Henry County Sheriff’s Department in Clinton, Missouri where he retired on March 19, 2009.
Willard was born and raised a devout catholic and was very stern in his religious beliefs. He and his wife Rhoda loved going antiquing and collecting beer memorabilia but his most favorite was collecting coins. Willard loved traveling, going on vacations and camping. He held a special place in his heart for all his children, grandkids and great grandkids whom he loved dearly.
Survivors include children, James and wife Darla of Clinton, Rita and husband Bob of Clinton, Rhoda and husband Bob of Clinton, Carl of Clinton, and Gary and wife Kristy of Clinton; 16 grandkids, Deziree, Rachale, Jessica, Dillon, Tiffany, Monica, Shayla, Whitney, Josh, Carissa, Amber, Caleb, Blake, Madison, Garrison, and Brooke; 18 great grandkids, Jayvin, Kylie, Weston, Darcy, Harper, Grant, Brexley, Randolph, Trevor, Clara, Gus, Stetson, Calvin, Elaine, Preston, Paisley, Hudson, and Elaina; and cousin Joe Brucel and wife Lucy of Shawnee, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his wife Rhoda “Irene” (Siercks) Brzuchalski, his parents, granddaughter Nicole Irene; and great granddaughter Ivey Blair.
Funeral mass was held October 16, 2023 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with Father Daniel Mucha officiating. The pallbearers were Joshua Bybee, Collin Schroeder, Jayvin Brzuchalski, Caleb Bybee, Dillon Shriner and Garrison Brzuchalski. Interment followed in Vansant Road Cemetery, Clinton, MO. Military honors were under the direction of VFW Post 1894 and the US Army.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
