Wilma Sharon Brown, age 80, passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at her home in Clinton, Missouri.
Wilma Sharon Brown known by many as “Sharon” was born on August 10, 1943 in Clinton, Missouri to Charles and Eva (Childs) Nichols. Sharon attended the Osceola Baptist Church in her younger years. Since 1954 she owned and operated the Old Plantation and Circle Inn and Brown’s BBQ. She has always had a passion for cooking and attended Chef School. She loved to decorate cakes, refurbish old picture frames and enjoyed traveling and going on road trips.
Sharon enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, going to horse races, and loved the Chiefs football, listening to Jimmy Swaggart, watching the Hallmark channel, and liked listening to music.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Charlene Alfritzi.
Survivors include her children, Larry Lee Brown of Raymore, Missouri, Twila (Brett) Murphy of Arizona, Leroy “Jodie” Brown of the home, two brothers, Bill (Jackie) Nichols, of Lowry City, Missouri, and Jerry (Sis) Nichols of Lowry City, Missouri, three grandchildren, Ian Murphy, Siera Murphy, and Savannah Murphy all of Tucson, Arizona, and four great grandchildren, Adalynn Murphy, Piper Murphy, Penelope Murphy, and Trey Murphey.
Graveside services were held January 24, 2024 at Lowry City Cemetery, Lowry City, MO with David Mills officiating.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
