Anna Carole (Reedy) Palmer, age 90, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025 at Adair Village Nursing Home in Clinton, Missouri, where she became a resident just six weeks prior.
Anna was born on September 28, 1934, in Burtville, MO to Myrtle (Corman) Reedy and Carroll Smith Reedy. She was one of two children. She attended Leeton High School in Leeton, Missouri. Anna married John Palmer on May 25, 1952, they enjoyed 69 years of commitment, love, faith, and an eternal friendship. They shared two children.
Anna was employed by Citizens Union State Bank, where she 'wore many hats', and retired after 35 years in 2006.
Anna was a loyal wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. To her family, she would often say, "I love you so much, more than you will ever know". Anna and John spent years traveling with friends, including stops at different campgrounds. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and frequent trips to the library for books to read. Anna had a loving heart, was kind, unless it was one of those moments she was just a little ornery.
Anna is survived by her two children Christi (Palmer) Justis and Darren (Pam) Palmer. In addition to three grandchildren Jeremy (Jenny) Tidmore, Brandon (Ruth) Tidmore, and Lexye (David) Shockley; her great-grandchildren Masy (Christopher) Tootle, Taylor (Shyler) Reid, Adam Shockley, Darius Shockley, William Shockley, Alyssa (Cooper) Vennell, Jaron (Lindsey) Tidmore, Caleb Tidmore, and Aralyn Tidmore and eight great-great grandchildren, along with several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Celebration of Life services were held July 26, 2025 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with Rev. David Mills officiating. Special music included "Special Memories and Amazing Grace." Inurnment followed in Vansant Road Cemetery, Clinton, MO.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
