Austin Blankenship, 28, of Peculiar, MO, passed away on March 8, 2025, leaving behind a family who loved him deeply.
He was born on May 23, 1996, in Independence, MO, to his parents, Darrel and Kim.
Austin was a hardworking, smart son of a gun, that was fiercely loyal to those he loved. He was quick witted and could make anyone laugh. His dedication to his family and friends was unconditional. Whether he was tackling a tough job, cracking a joke, or standing by the people who mattered most, Austin put his whole heart into everything he did. Those who knew him will always remember his ability to be the life of the party anywhere he went.
Austin graduated from Clinton high school in 2014. He then went to Missouri Welding institute graduating 2015, after which he traveled the US welding different places. He then came back home to Missouri, where he bought and redid a few homes. He worked for Local 8 as a master plumber, also a class welding instructor. Most recently, he started his own company, AB Pro Plumbing, which immediately became a success. He took pride in what he did.
He had a deep love for motorcycles, hunting, and anything that let him be outdoors and be physical. If he wasn’t out in nature, you could find him in the garage, working on something with his hands and making sure everything ran just right. He had a knack for building things and took pride in his work, ready to lend a hand anytime someone needed help. Austin loved to talk business— he could go on for hours about his ideas, deals, and how he could make his next move.
He is survived by his parents, Darrel and Kim; his sisters, Chelsee and Katelynn; his nephews, Isaac and Jayson; his grandmother Karen and his daughter, Sugar Pup, plus many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who all adored him. He was preceded in death by his uncles Ed, James and Paul; his grandmother Kathryn; his grandfathers Darrel and Dennis.
Austin will forever be in our hearts, and his memory will live on through the love he shared with his family and friends.
