Benton County Commission Accepts Fuel Bids

Presiding Commissioner Steve Daleske called the Benton County Commission meeting to order at 9:00 AM on August 5 in the board room. District 1 Commissioner Larry Berry, District 2 Commissioner Scott Harms were present.

In the first order of business, Commissioner Harms made the motion to accept the bid from MFA Oil Company for diesel fuel for Road District #2 at a cost of $2.91 per gallon. The motion passed. The other bid was received from Warsaw Oil Company at a cost of $3.12 per gallon. The Commission accepted the low bid price.

Commissioner Berry made a motion to accept the bid from Warsaw Oil Company for unleaded gasoline for Road District #1 at a cost of $2.82 per gallon. The motion passed. Other bids were received from Zollicker Oil Company at a cost of $2.885 per gallon and from MFA Oil Company at a cost of $3.02 per gallon. The Commission accepted the low bid price.

Commissioner Berry made a motion to accept the bid from MFA Oil Company for diesel fuel for Road District #1 at a cost of $2.91 per gallon. The motion passed. Other bids were received from Warsaw Oil Company at a cost of $3.12 per gallon and from Zollicker Oil Company at a cost of $3.005 per gallon. The Commission accepted the low bid price.

County Clerk Susan Porterfield presented monthly tax abatement for the Commission’s approval.

County Treasurer Rick Renno presented his weekly financial report. County Clerk Porterfield submitted budget reports for each department. Bills were presented for approval and payment.
