Beverly Sue Hills, 78, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on February 18, 2025.
Beverly was born in Bolivar, MO in 1946 to Clifford and Delta Fulks. She dedicated over 20 years of service to Pathways (now Compass Health) before retiring. Even in retirement, she continued to pour love into her community, helping her granddaughter with childcare at Everyday Fitness gym, where she became a beloved presence. Affectionately known as “Grandma” by gym members, she brought warmth, kindness, and a bright smile to everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her faith was a guiding light in her life.
Beverly was deeply involved with her church, serving as a Sunday school teacher and actively participating in the Royal Rangers and Missionettes programs at First Assembly of God Church in Clinton, MO. Her unwavering devotion to her faith and community was an inspiration to all.
Beverly was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a cherished daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She had an infectious laugh, a sharp sense of humor, and a sassy yet graceful presence that made her unforgettable. She carried herself with dignity and unwavering strength, always trusting in God’s perfect timing and provision.
In her free time, Beverly found joy in scrapbooking, preserving cherished memories with creativity and love. She delighted in capturing family milestones, celebrations, and everyday moments, ensuring that her loved ones would always have something to look back on and treasure. The Lord has called her home, where she is now reunited with many loved ones who have gone before her.
Beverly is survived by her children, Diana (Hills) Tirey and Gary Hills; her grandchildren, Crystal Tirey, Nathan (Dani) Tirey, Robbie (April) Hills, Becky Travis, JR Hills, Jenna Hills, Jessica Hills, and Hailey Hills; great-grandchildren, Cameron Mertz, Harley Humerickhouse, Gavin Tirey, Archer Tirey, Andi Tirey, Trinity (Cauy) Collins, Kane Easter, Kason Hills, Korbin Hills, Trinidy Travis, Chance Travis, Dustin Travis Jr., Wyatt Williams, and Elijah Williams; and great-great-grandchildren, Fynn Carroll, Colsen and Colter Collins. She is also survived by her brothers Tom (Marie) Fulks, John (Karen) Fulks, and Larry (Joni) Fulks; her brother-in-law Myron Morgan; as well as numerous other beloved family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Delta (Henderson) Fulks; her beloved husband of 46 years, Ernest Eugene Hills; her son, James R. Hills; grandson, Dustin Travis; great-grandson, Brent Carroll; her brothers Roger and James Fulks; and her sisters, June Cox and Wanda Morgan.
Beverly’s love, laughter, and unwavering faith will forever be cherished by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held February 25, 2025 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with Pastor Jerry Baughman officiating. Special music included “Amazing Grace, How Great Thou Art, My Wish and I Can Only Imagine.” The casket bearers were Nathan Tirey, Gavin Tirey, J.R. Hills, Robbie Hills, Cameron Mertz and Kane Easter. Interment followed in Vansant Road Cemetery, Clinton, MO.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
