Blanche M. Fergerson

Blanche M. Fergerson, age 87, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Friday evening, June 14, 2024 at the E.W. Thompson Care Center in Sedalia, Missouri. She was born on February 11, 1937 in Lincoln, Missouri to George and Effie Mae Roark.

She grew up in Lincoln, Missouri and attended Lincoln High School until being united in marriage to Bill Nichols on June 26, 1953. Following Bill's military service in Korea, they made their home in Colorado Springs, Colorado until they moved to the Warsaw area in 1958. Bill preceded her in death in 1988.

Blanche was employed at Unitog in Warsaw, then later she worked for both Bishop and Fajen Gunstocks.

She was united in marriage to Marvin Allen in 1990 where they made their home in Warsaw until his passing in 2001.

She was united in marriage to Bill Fergerson on October 14, 2011. They made their home in Warsaw but would spend their winters in Texas.

She was a member of Poplar Baptist Church as well as being involved with the Eagles Lodge and the Saddle Club as well as various social groups. She enjoyed being around people, enjoyed dancing, flowers and being outdoors. She also had a lot of fun negotiating at garage sales.

In addition to her 3 husbands, she is preceded in death by her parents and 3 brothers, Earl Roark, Ralph Roark and Cleatith Lee Roark.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Joyce Schlesselmann and her husband Cecil, Karen Nichols, Shirley Logan and her husband Gale, one son, Oral Nichols and his wife Tammie, 7 grandchildren, Mandy Schlesselmann, Dara Osoego, Cary Jo Ingram, Gary Ingram, Jill Logan, Jerad Nichols and Derrick Nichols, 10 great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Payton, Grace, Faith, Kate, Ragan, Olivia, Sawyer, Ember and Parker, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Poplar Baptist Church. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening, June 18, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Davis-Miller Funeral Home in Lincoln, Missouri. Graveside services and interment will be at the Lincoln Cemetery.
