Henry County Chapter NSDAR Promotes Constitution Week

The Henry County Chapter NSDAR (Daughters of the American Revolution, located in Windsor, celebrated Constitution Week, chaired by Glynna Morse, in a big way. Lisa Lawless, Windsor City Administrator, signed the Constitution Week proclamation for the City of Windsor with Henry County Chapter DAR members looking on. Signs were displayed at the Windsor 4-way kiosk, Farrington Park kiosk, and Windsor Historical Museum outdoor sign. Posters were displayed at Lenora Blackmore Branch of the Henry County Library, Windsor Historical Society, Windsor Senior Center, and in three high schools and four elementary schools.
In addition to these posters and displays, the Henry County Chapter provided packets of materials for 130 students (7 classes) in four elementary schools (Calhoun, Green Ridge, Lincoln, and Windsor: 6-page Constitution booklet, Constitution Convention coloring page, and Bill of Rights word search.
The chapter also provided packets of materials for 270 students (10 classes) in three high schools (Green Ridge, Lincoln, and Windsor): bookmarks, 6-page Constitution booklet, Constitution word search, and Constitution crossword puzzle.
Constitution Week is a week-long celebration in the United States that honors the adoption of the Constitution on September 17, 1787. The week is celebrated annually from September 17–23.
