Dean W. Davis, age 77, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at St. Luke's North Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

Dean was born on June 28, 1948, to Albert Jefferson and Helen Davis, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Al Davis and A. Joe Davis.

Dean is survived by his loving wife of more than 50 years, Nora; his children, Kimberley and Tony (wife Heather); his grandchildren, Cheyenne (husband Rocky) and Hailey; and his great-granddaughter, Lillian Grace, born this July. He is also survived by his twin brother, Dennis Davis, and his eldest brother, Chuck Davis.

Everyone who knew Dean knew how much he loved antiques—whether buying or selling. He was well regarded not only for his deep knowledge of the history behind his personal collections and store inventory, but also for his passion for wheelin’ and dealin’.

Dean met Nora while working at Sears in Kansas City and he later held roles at Furniture City, Plaza United Super, Chuck’s Auto Sales, and Hawthorn Bank, before joining his brothers A. Joe and Dennis in creating their dream Davis Brothers Antiques, Vintage, Collectibles, and Stuff.

More than anything, Dean loved his family. His relationship with Nora was enviable, his love for his children boundless, and his devotion to his granddaughters nothing short of beautiful. He also held a deep affection for his daughter-in-law, Heather, whom he loved as one of his own and appreciated for the care, joy, and strength she brings to our family.

It’s often said that someone “lights up a room” or “never met a stranger”—Dean truly embodied those words. He loved people. He was a kind man, a joyful soul, and the world was a better place with him in it. Words can’t express how deeply he will be missed.
