Edward E. Hamlett, age 82, of Tightwad, Missouri, passed away, Friday, October 11th, 2024 at Warsaw Rehabilitation Center, Warsaw, Missouri.
Edward Everett Hamlett was born on March 19, 1942 in Naylor, Missouri the son of Everett and Ester (Moore) Hamlett.
Edward was an avid fisherman and hunter, he loved singing and had a passion for playing the guitar, and he had played in many jam sessions over the years. He donated his time and talent playing music in the nursing homes around the area.
Edward loved going for drives, loved old cars, reading and old westerns. He was very personable, never met a stranger and found a friend in everyone.
Proceeding in death are his mother Ester and father Everett, his sister Sandra, and brother Jimmy.
Survivors include his spouse Kathy, stepdaughter Crissy (husband Rusty), stepson Bill, Grandchildren Ethan, Michael and Allen and a host of friends from over the years.
Funeral services were held October 17, 2024 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, with Rev. Jenny Wilson and speaker, Daniel Davis officiating. Special music included “Hanging On a Nail and Amazing Grace.”
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mlls Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
