Florence G. Steenburgen

Florence G. Steenburgen, age 88, of Warsaw, Missouri passed away Saturday, September 21, 2024 at the Bothwell Hospital in Sedalia, Missouri. She was born on December 28, 1935 in Maquoketa, Iowa the daughter of Lester and Oma Ripple.

On June 19, 1952 she was united in marriage to Curtis Steenburgen, in Davenport, Iowa. They made their home in Iowa, St. Louis, Calhoun and Sedalia, before moving to Warsaw in 1979. Flo was a land developer and co-owner of the Truman State Park Marina, until her retirement in 2000.

She is a member of the Cedar Grove Baptist Church, in Warsaw and loved to sing specials during worship service. She was an avid Wildcat fan and enjoyed watching her grandchildren play high school football and wrestling.

Flo is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Jim Ripple and Ron Ripple and a sister, Lois Ripple.

She is survived by two sons; William “Bill” Steenburgen and Bradley Steenburgen (Glenda), four grandsons; Nathan Steenburgen (Laura), Seth Steenburgen (Tammy), John Steenburgen (Kayla) and Jared Steenburgen (Rebecca), nine great-grandchildren; Austin (Sheridan), Tyler, Benjamin, Grant, Lauren, Bentley, Bailey, Gavin and Maelynn.

Memorial Services for Flo Steenburgen will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 12, 2024 at the Cedar Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Barry Edwards, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Memorial Service.
