Jerry Hathcock, age 89, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026 at Adair Village in Clinton, Missouri.
Jerry Joe Hathcock was born on September 28, 1936 in Lamar, Missouri, the son of Benjamin Phillip and Vera Mae Hathcock. Jerry was a loving and devoted husband, dad, and grandpa. He married the love of his life, Winona Faye Tucker, on November 16, 1957. He also served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
Jerry was a deacon at Allen Street Church. His favorite Bible verse was John 3:16. He loved taking care of his two dogs, Bear and Fryer, and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. He also loved crossword puzzles and watching Wheel of Fortune.
He is preceded in death by his mother, father, and his brother, Phillip Ray Hathcock.
Survivors include his wife Winona Hathcock, his four children; David Hathcock (Lora), Susan Lynnette Hathcock (Dan), Jeffrey Hathcock (Michele), Stacy Jones (Laurence), 8 grandchildren; Ashlee Hathcock, Christopher Hathcock (Tara), Anthony Hathcock (Melinda), Stephanie Harp (Cory), Rashell Medlock (Michael), Kendal Hathcock (Linnae), Michael Jones (Jessica), Alyssa Hathcock, 21 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held February 26, 2026 at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton with Rev. David Hathcock officiating. The casket bearers were Christopher Hathcock, Anthony Hathcock, Kendal Hathcock, Michael Jones, Cory Harp and Andrew Harp. The honorary bearers were Connor Jones, Joel Hathcock, Jace Hathcock, Austin Tracy, Landon Tracy, Trace Hathcock and Max Harp.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
