John Joseph Keane, age 80, of Clinton, Missouri passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Aspire Senior Living in Warsaw, Missouri.
John attended Montrose, Missouri St. Mary Catholic Grade School and his freshman year at Montrose High School. He graduated in 1963 from Clinton, Missouri High School. He had a very successful athletic endeavor playing football, basketball and track. He helped break a school record on an 880-yard relay Team.
John attended CMSC at Warrensburg for very short time.
John was a United States Army Veteran. He was drafted on May 10, 1966 and attended basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and serve as a Medical Corpsman in Vietnam seeing heavy action along the Mekong River with the Mobile Riverine Forces
John worked about 40 years for Clearfield Cheese Co. and Schreiber Foods.
John enjoyed fishing, bowling, trap shooting and golf in his adult life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, John Joesph Keane Sr. and Virginia M. Keane Bradley and step-father Virgil Bradley and nephew Michael Keane. Survivors include his younger sister Karen Bleything (Larry) of Overland Park, Kansas and brother William Keane (Jolinda) of Sullivan, Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews.
John really enjoyed being a proud resident of Clinton for 65 years. Thanks to everyone who kept a watchful eye on him through the last few years. We appreciate such generous kindness.
A Celebration of Life was held April 10, 2026 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with Rev. David Mills officiating. Inurnment followed in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, MO.
