Mary Susan "Sue" Cloud

Posted

Mary Susan “Sue” Cloud was born on August 23rd, 1960 in DeKalb, Illinois to parents John and Bonnie McClure. She departed this life on September 9th, 2023 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri after an aggressive battle with cancer.
She grew up in Detroit, Michigan. She went to Gardener Grade School, Ruddiman Junior High, and Cody High School. She met her husband Terry Wayne Cloud in Michigan in 1992, and they were married November 16, 1994.
She worked for several years at Schreiber Foods until her first cancer diagnosis forced her to retire in 2017.
Family was her world. She knew everything she possibly could about her kids and grandkids, and if you asked her how they were she would show you pictures and tell you endless stories. She always showed up. She made everything and everyone better.
Her favorite place to be was outside. She loved her daily walks and tending to her flowers. She simply loved the sunshine, and she was the sunshine of our family.
If you ran into Mary, it was probably at Walmart. One of her favorite things to do was shop.
Mom was a very loving person. She would give her last dime to anyone in need, hence she became a mom to many others. Any friends of her children will attest, there was no mom like our mom.
The past five years she was in remission were the best years of her life. She retired from Schreiber after decades of service to the company. She traveled more than she had her whole life. Any chance she got, she would fly to Pennsylvania to see Nicole and Brielle. Also, she started a tradition of flying to Michigan to visit her brother and sister. Family was her world.
She is survived by her husband, Terry Cloud of the home; three children, Ricky McNabb, Clinton, MO, Nicole White (Mike), Chambersburg, PA, and Meladie Cloud (Mason), Nixa, MO; grandchildren, Paige, Jordan, Greyson, Kayleigh, Marley and Brielle; and numerous “fur grandbabies”; siblings, George McClure, Roxanne Davis and Maurya McClure; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents John and Bonnie McClure, her father and mother-in-law Mark and Barbara Cloud, her brother John McClure, and one granddaughter Riley McNabb.
A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 15, 2023 at the Bradley & Hadley Funeral Home, Clinton. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be left online at www.bradleyhadley.com.
