Melba Jean Willett, age 88, passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at her home in Clinton, Missouri.
Melba Jean Willet was born on June 19, 1936 to Fred Wallin and Beulah (Alpin) Wallin in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents Fred and Beulah Wallin, her son-in-law Gary Michael, her grandson Gary Lee Michael Jr., and her brother-in-law Hatley Doan.
Survivors include her husband William L. Willett, her two children Melissa Michael, and Alan (Jennifer) Willett, 6 grandchildren; Jackie (Mark) Midkiff, Jennifer (Michael) Ruff, Chris (Nikki) Michael, Ashley (Tyler) Bishop, David (Desiree) Willett, and Kolbe Jackson, 9 great grandchildren; Garrison Midkiff, Allie Miskiff, Makayla Midkiff, Liam Ruff, Gabrielle Ruff, Katerina Ruff, Tanner Michael, Porter Michael, and Andrew Yohe, her brother, Mike (Karen) Wallin and her sister Shelba Doan.
Funeral services were held March 27, 2025 at the First Baptist Church, Clinton with Pastor Pat Findley officiating. Special music included “Amazing Grace, In the Garden and How Great Thou Art.” The casket bearers were David Willett, Garriso Midkiff, Michael Ruff, Chris Michael, Mark Midkiff and Tyler Bishop. Liam Ruff was an honorary bearer. Interment was in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, MO.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
