Paula Orear Degen Shannon, 79, of Urich, Mo passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the Good Shepherd Care Community in Concordia, Mo.
She graduated in 1963 from Notre Dame de Sion high school in Kansas City, Mo.
She had a passion for horses, dogs, and birds, she leaves her precious dogs Etta Sue, Higgins, Clyde, and mule, Houdi.
Paula is survived by her son, Craig Shannon of Kansas City, MO, Many close friends and neighbors care kept her in her home until October 4th.
Paula was preceded in death by her parents, Harold P. and Ruth Degen, Kansas City, Mo., and after her mother’s passing when she was 12 years old, she was then raised by her Grandparents, Herbert and Florence Orear.
