Raymond Millam, age 68, of Raytown, Missouri, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023 at the Alpine Breeze Care Center, Raytown, Missouri.
Ray was born June 3rd, 1955, at St Mary’s hospital in Kansas City, Missouri the son of Raymond Millam and Kathryn (Hills) Millam. Ray was a Methodist. He was active in Boy Scouts of America troop 75 and graduated from Raytown South High School in 1974. Ray then pursued a career in security which he thoroughly enjoyed until retirement in 2009. His hobbies were ham radios and wrestling. Ray was a member of the Xtreme Wrestling Center and often assisted with security and other projects where he could.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond and his brother, Marvin.
He is survived by his mother, Kathryn (Hills) Millam of Raytown, Missouri, his brother Todd Millam and wife Diana, nieces Lexi and Annie of Argyle, TX.
Funeral services were held Aug. 30, 2023 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with Rev. David Mills officiating. Special music included “Old Rugged Cross and Amazing Grace.” The casket bearers were Robbie Hills, Drew Lerner, Robert Vick, Randy Pogue, Stephen Bray and Danny Goodman. Doug Goodman, James Barker, Bill Smith, Ed Hess, Trent Stober, Rolla Barker, Phil Carter and Frank Hunt were honorary bearers. Interment followed in Deepwater Cemetery, Deepwater, MO.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
