Sharon Dugan, age 68, of Deepwater, Missouri passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
Sharon L. Dugan (Portwood) was born on June 30th 1956 in Kansas City Missouri to John and Katherine (McKissick) Portwood. Sharon married her forever love, since 12 years of age, Billy Dugan on February 14th 1973.
She enjoyed horseback riding and barrel racing as a young girl. Sharon was the youngest of 8 children. She loved and enjoyed anytime she could get with her family and friends.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents John and Katherine Portwood, her brothers Harold, John D, Jim, Charles And Gary Portwood along with her sisters Virginia and Mary Portwood.
Survivors include her husband Billy Dugan, 2 sons Chad Dugan of New Jersey, and Shane (Mary) Dugan of Deepwater Mo, 7 grandchildren; Whitney Dugan, Quention Dugan, Summer Dugan, Hayley Dugan, Katelin Dugan, Braxton Copeland, and Madison Foster, 8 great grandchildren; Kason, Olivia, Kayden, Emberlee, Haven, Wrenlee, Asher, and Kohen, along with numerous other family and friends.
Funeral services were held October 18, 2024 at the Vansant- Mills Chapel, Clinton with Rev. Jim Brack officiating. Special music included “Night In White Satin, Stairway to Heaven, and Curisin’.” The casket bearers were Quention Dugan, Shane Dugan, Arron McClure, Braxton Copeland, Chad Dugan and Chris Schneck. Interment was in Deepwater Cemetery, Deepwater, MO.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
