Shirley Jean Briggs

Shirley Jean Briggs passed away December 12, 2023. She was born October 2, 1932 to Leslie Henry and Novella Mae (Scott) Ringen in Sweet Springs, Missouri. She married Robert Lee Briggs on April 5, 1953 in Clinton, Missouri. Shirley grew up in Sweet Springs and Clinton Missouri. She also attended the University of Central Missouri.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Richard Scott Briggs. She is survived by her daughter, Susan Moorefield; grandchildren, Lindsay Dunsworth, and Lance (Hannah) Moorefield; great-grandchildren, Clark and Harrison Dunsworth, and Charlotte Moorefield; and a sister, Louise Overby. Also, several nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Shirley will be held Saturday, January 13, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Newcomer’s White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 PM.
Shirley will be laid to rest in White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119.
