Cardinals Gaining Much Needed Numbers On Football Gridiron
LINCOLN FOOTBALL head coach Brad Drehle watched Tanner Cramer run sprints in workouts last week at practice. Some 52 boys grades 7-12 have signed up for football this coming season. There are 25 players on varsity which is a huge step up from last season. Now they can go 11-11 in practices which has Coach Drehle naturally excited. They had just 13 players for most of last season. The upside was that the 13 received a tremendous amount of varsity experience which can only reap dividends in the future. The injury prone sophomore class, now juniors, if healthy, could be fun to watch. We will see!
