Lady Cardinals Take Tough Loss On Road At Harrisonville

The Clinton Lady Cardinals traveled to Harrisonville on February 13, and lost in the last few seconds of the game to the Lady Wildcats, 47-44.
Mercedes Brown, Skyte Wilson and Briley Wishard started the game off strong scoring eight points the Lady Cardinals fell just short of the Harrisonville Wildcats with the end of the first quarter score being 8-9.
It was a neck-and-neck race from here, all the spectators could tell it would all come down to the fourth quarter in this game.
In the second quarter, the Cardinals' Mercedes Brown, Hannah Campbell, Ava Potter and Briley Wishard all scored points bringing the halftime score to 19-20.
In the third quarter, the Clinton Lady Cardinals started to fall behind the Wildcats by a few points. The end of the third quarter score was 31-36.
The fourth quarter of this game was an exhilarating one as the Cardinals started to catch up to the Lady Wildcats at the early start of this period. Near the end though, the Lady Wildcats began to stretch their lead to eventually pull through with a win, the final score for this game was 44-47.
