Mary Alice Wehmeyer of Creighton, Missouri, was born September 10, 1937 in Salina, Kansas, the daughter of Lawrence Elmer and Alice Victoria (Frost) Vann. She departed this life on Saturday, January 7, 2023 after an extended illness at Kansas City Hospice House, Kansas City, Missouri, surrounded by love and family at the age of 85 years, 3 months and 28 days.
She was united in marriage to Raymond Dale Wehmeyer on December 8, 1956 in Urich, Missouri, and made their home north of Creighton, Missouri.
Mary Alice was a homemaker and a 1955 graduate of Hume High School, Hume, Missouri. She was a member of Quick City Christian Church until it closed and then attended Creighton Christian Church. Mary Alice was a member of the Red Hats and the Grand River Homemakers, all of Urich, Missouri.
Besides her parents, Mary Alice was preceded in death by her husband, Dale on April 23, 2006, and two brothers, Ardell and Delmar Vann.
Mary Alice is survived by a son, Steven Wehmeyer (Tammy); two daughters, Danita Wagoner (Doug), Diana Richardson (David) all of Creighton, Missouri; three grandchildren, Josh, Brandon and Kaylon (Lane); a great-granddaughter, Harper; other relatives and a host of friends.
Funeral Services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, Missouri with internment at Grant Cemetery, Creighton, Missouri.
Family received friends 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023 at the Funeral Home.
