Orbon McMillian, age 93, of Clinton, Missouri passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at Adair Village in Clinton, Missouri.
Orbon was born on February 13, 1931 in Branson, Missouri. He was one of five children.
He enjoyed golfing and fishing. He worked for over 35 years for the American Can Company as a mechanical engineer. Orbon was a proud member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shriners in Springfield, Missouri, and the Rising Sun Lodge No.13, the York Rite Lodge of Liberty, Missouri, the Clinton Elks Lodge #1034, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3667.
Orbon is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Hazel McMillian and his first wife Wilma Lee (Sloan) McMillian.
Survivors include his wife Phyllis of the home, three step children; Roberta (Brian) McKinley of Clinton, Missouri, Bret (Rhonda) Savage of Raymore, Missouri, and Matthew (Kristi) Savage of Springfield, Missouri, one brother Dale (Clara) McMillian of Texas, two sister-in-law’s, Virginia McMillian of Texas and Sharon McMillian of California, 6 nieces; Teresa (Cliff) Birdsell, Becky Kempf, Debby Crouse, Judy (James) Lynn, Nancy (Jim) Spring, and Debbie McMillian, two nephews Richard (Angelia) Crouse, and Robert (Briceyda) McMillian.
Funeral services were held August 29, 2024 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, MO with Pastor Joey Conway officiating. Interment followed in White Chapel Cemetery, Gladstone, MO.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, MO.
