Raymond E. Bigler, age 91, of Clinton, Missouri passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton, Missouri.
Raymond E. Bigler was born on January 23, 1931 to Fred Carson and Lucy Lee (Hammonds) Bigler he was the baby boy of 12 children.
Raymond served his country in the U.S. Army from 1949 - 1953. He married Cecile Stotts on June 16, 1956. He worked with Hallmark Cards for 42 years and with the Clinton School District as a custodian.
Raymond loved to trout fish with his secret bait and spent many days crappie fishing. He loved spending time with the grandkids, always a floor full of kids. They loved going Honky Tonkin with their Grandpa, Gramps, Pappy, Happy, Pop pop. They all had their own special names for Raymond.
Raymond is preceded in death by his wife Cecile L. Bigler, his parents, his granddaughter Crystal Cox, and siblings; Russel Bigler, Hazel Bigler, Juanita Cox, Pauline Bartholomew, Opal Sartin, Peggy Howard, Harriet Knifong, Henry Bigler, Howard Bigler, and Julia Bigler.
Survivors include his children; Fred (Scherri) Bigler, Susan Bigler, Vivian (Kenny) Kasper, and Jody Cox, his sister, Mildred Hager, his grandchildren; Jamey Vogel, Mathew Cox, Ben Cox, Jeremy Cox, Racheal Cox, Jamie Cox, Tim Bigler, Joshua Bigler, Quade Bigler, Jackie Hughes, Nicole Collins, Brandon McGinnis, Kristen Dunaway, along with numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held January 10, 2023 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with Pastor Alan Anzalone officiating. Special music included “How Great Thou Art and Go Rest High.” The casket bearers were Tim Bigler, Quade Bigler, Zach Wells, Joshua Bigler, Brandon McGinnis and Aden Bigler. Jamie Cox, Jim Wells, Matt Hughes and Jay Collins were honorary bearers. Interment followed in Deepwater Cemetery, Deepwater, MO. Military honors were under the direction of VFW Post #1894 and the US Army.
Services were under the direction of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
