Walkers kicked off a busy Saturday on August 3 in Warsaw and enjoyed an early morning 5K for the Playground from Drake Harbor to West Bledsoe Ferry and back. Eighteen medals were awarded to the finishers.
Leo and Kathy Porter walked along with their daughter, Marina, and granddaughters, Isabel, 2, in a stroller and Hazel Porter, 4, who ran the entire way.
More fun runs and walks are being planned for the fall and winter.
The winner of the Smokin' Hot Harborfest 50/50 Raffle was Christine Kruger of Lincoln, Missouri who won $137.
Events for the day raised $1,193, bringing the running total raised to $54,742 which will be matched by the Bibb family.
