Lady Cards Shut Down By Sherwood, Smith-Cotton; Beat Montrose

Clinton trailed just 2-1 at the end of the fourth, but Sherwood plated 8 runs over the next 3 innings to take a 10-2 win over the Lady Cardinals last Tuesday night.
Six errors in the field didn't aid the Clinton cause.
Jordan Schmedding had the only 2 hits for the locals.
Taryn Mantonya took the loss in the circle.

Last Thursday, the Lady Cardinals trailed 4-1 but then surrendered 9 runs over the fourth and fifth innings in a 13-1 loss to Smith-Cotton.
Defense was hard to come by for Clinton as they committed way too many errors (13) in the field.
Kennison Crispi had the only hit for the Lady Cards.
Maddie Hess absorbed the loss for Clinton.

Clinton finally got back in the win column on Monday night with a 5-4 win over Montrose.
Crispi collected 3 hits in as many trips to the plate to lead the Clinton offense while Mantonya recorded 2 hits of her own.
Kenadie Austin got the win in the circle for the Lady Cardinals.

Clinton hosted Pleasant Hill on Tuesday and will play at home again on Thursday when the Odessa Lady Bulldogs come to town.
