Grandmother of Ten, Great-Grandmother of Five, Carolyn May Jarck (nee’ Hayden) of Annandale New Jersey passed away quietly after a long illness on Thursday August 1, 2024. She was 91 years young. Born in Munson, Massachusetts on May 1, 1933, to Francis and Thelma Hayden. She grew up most of her life in North Adam’s and graduated from Drury High School. She then worked for her father at Hayden Oil as his bookkeeper and overall assistant. She met George Henry Jarck and married in 1951. They began raising a family in 1957 and soon built and ran a farm in Cheshire, Massachusetts. In 1982 they built a home and settled in Annandale Township near the town of Clinton, New Jersey.
Carolyn was a realtor through Weichert Realtors for approx. 30 years. She loved the outdoors, tennis, golf, animals, cooking and bridge. She was dedicated to her volunteer work at Hospice.
Carolyn was preceded in death by both of her parents, three siblings, a grandchild and is survived by her husband, her sister Betty Lou Duhamel, all her children, Pamela Black (Randolph) of New Jersey, George H. Jarck of Charleston, South Carolina, Matthew H. Jarck of Pittsfield Massachusetts and Lisa A. Sweeney (Kevin) of Northampton, Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren, Joseph, Hayden, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Kevin, Connor, Jorden, Griffin, Cameron; five great grandchildren.
