On Saturday, September 7, the Clinton Christian Academy (CCA) Varsity volleyball team journeyed to Garden City for a tournament hosted by Training Center Christian. The day began early with the first match starting at 8:00 AM, and the CCA team played four intense matches against Training Center, The Daniel Academy, Heartland Christian Academy and Plaza Heights Academy. Despite a demanding schedule, the CCA girls demonstrated remarkable perseverance and skill, finishing the round-robin portion of the tournament with a perfect record of 3-0. This impressive performance earned them a spot in the championship match against Plaza Heights Academy.
The final game was a hard-fought battle that extended to three sets. The scores were 14-25, 25-20, and 11-15, with Plaza Heights ultimately securing the victory. Though CCA did not claim first place, they proudly took home the second-place trophy.
Reflecting on the experience, the team and coaches embraced the season’s theme of "Mentality," viewing the tournament as a valuable opportunity for growth both on and off the court. The players and coaches remain inspired by their faith, believing that challenges are chances to improve and deepen their commitment to both the sport and their Christian values.
