Dennis Paul Denker, 76, passed away on September 3, 2024.

Dennis was born on July 25, 1948, in Cole Camp, Missouri, the Son of Hugo and Paula Denker.

He graduated from Cole Camp High School in the class of 1966, and received a B.S. in Construction Engineer Technology from Central Missouri State University in 1990.

He married Linda Reagan on May 5, 1973, and to this union were born (3) children, Matthew, Timothy and Benjamin.

Dennis was drafted and served in the military January 3, 1968, when he was 19 years old and received Honorable Discharge 19 Nov 1969. He achieved the rank of Sergeant E-5 while in service, and was awarded 3 Bronze Stars with V Device, 2 Purple Hearts and other medals. He was also a Senior Claims Analyst for the Army Corps of Engineers for 37 years before retiring in 2010.

He was a member of St Matthews Lutheran Church. He also loved watching his grandkids do whatever they were doing, and traveling. He had the opportunity to visit several cities and countries in Europe, Hawaii, and drove all over the U.S. including following the entirety of Route 66.

He was always looking to take care of and protect those close to him, was always right, and was always there when you needed him. He will be dearly missed.

Dennis is survived by: his wife, Linda, his sons Timothy and Benjamin, and their wives Amy and Angie, respectively, as well as his seven grandchildren, and his siblings Douglas, Geraldine, David, Carolyn, Patricia and Dale.

He was preceded in death by: his son, Matthew, as well as his parents.

Services were held on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 9:30 a.m., at St Matthews Lutheran Church, 700 NE Chipman Road, Lee’s Summit, MO 64086, with funeral service on that same day and place at 11:00 a.m. He was laid to rest in Floral Hills East Cemetery.
