Jay William Larson, 75, passed away on Sunday, July 07, 2024, in Clinton, Missouri, at his home with family nearby.
Jay was born to Paul and Janis Larison, in Bellevue, Nebraska, on March 08, 1949. He had a brother Chris (Bridgett), and a sister, Sheri (Chuck). He graduated from Bellevue East High School in 1968. In the fall he went to Wayne State College for one year.
In 1969 Jay enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was stationed in Kansas, Colorado, and South Dakota. Internationally he was stationed in Iceland once, and Germany twice. He retired from the Air Force in 1989. While working for Reed Telemarketing in Omaha, Nebraska, he met Kathee. Jay and Kathee were married in August of 1996.
Jay had four children with Raeana Kuzma. They are Karla, Kerri, Ed and Krystal. When he married Kathee, he helped raise Karlene and Darlene Waage. Later on, he helped raise his granddaughter Klarice Waage for 8 plus years. With Jay and Kathee and the young ones added together they have 9 children, 24 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was a member of Northeast Baptist Church. It was important for him to sing in the choir. He loved praising his Lord Jesus Christ.
Jay retired from working at 68 years of age. He and Kathee moved to Clinton, Missouri, to live in a milder climate. From there they enjoyed retirement by traveling, going to plays and other extracurricular activities. He loved to play cards at home and the Senior Center. His family was very important to him. He was a wonderful father figure.
